#1 Korean Study Room
The study room is a place where you can study alone if you pay for your seat. There are literally kind of private desks and chair. In the study room, you have to be really careful of making some noise such as talking, footsteps, even writing and flipping books. So people should keep making the room quiet. That's why it's so much easier to focus on studying than any other places. It's a typical Korean culture that students go to a study room to study extra hours after school. Probably you wouldn't believe it..
#2 Kind of weird Korean Age
In
Korea, basically we’re 1-year-old as soon as you are born. Also, the weird
thing is that everyone goes up 1 year on January 1st. So the funny
thing is that the baby who is born December 31 will be turning 2 years old next
day. What a ridiculous! They would feel so unfair...haha. Some Korean says that
birthday is just for having a party and enjoying. That’s it. They don’t really
care about going up 1-year old on their birthday. Thus, aware that you can be 1
or 2 years old more than your age in Korea. It depends on your birthday has
already passed or not.
#3 Restaurant Bells
As you can see from the picture, almost every Korean restaurants has the bells which is located on the table. So if you want to order or need something, just press the bell. Then waiter will come to your table. This is one of the most convenient systems in Korea.

| Blood-types |
#4 Obsessed with Blood-types
I
bet that almost every Korean knows their blood type. Rather, it’s strange to
not know. And also, they tend to obsess with their blood types. So sometimes even
if there is no evidence scientifically, they judge personality with just
blood-types. Koreans kind of believe that blood type works on personality. So
if your Korean friend asks your blood type and then you said “I have no idea”,
probably he will be so surprised.
#5 Unlimited side dishes
In
Korea, every side dishes is for free except the main dishes of course. So, if
you visit to South Korea later, don’t hesitate to ask some more side dishes in
any restaurants. Just ask the waiter “Igeo-deo-juseyo”,
then they will get it.
#6 If it rains, UMBRELLA
If
it’s raining but only a trickle, you might not need an umbrella. Koreans,
however, tend to obsess with umbrella although sprinkle rain drop. Usually if it rains, they directly go to convenience store or any other stores to get an umbrella. Thus, unlike other countries, you can easily get an umbrella everywhere in Korea.
#7 " Did you have breakfast, lunch or dinner..? "
"Did you have lunch?" It sounds kind of weird. You might answer " Why are you asking me that?" or "What does it matter whether I have or not?" In Korea, however, it's a typical greeting such as "How are you?", "What's up". Actually, this question isn't asking you whether you really ate or not. For Koreans, eating well means getting along without any trouble. It's because they have thought for a long time that meal makes life and happiness.
